Description

This White Chocolate-Strawberry Tiramisu is a luscious twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of creamy mascarpone, white chocolate, fresh strawberries, and delicate ladyfingers soaked in orange juice. Lightly sweetened and chilled to perfection, this refreshing treat serves 12 and is ideal for summer gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

Cream Mixture

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (4 oz) mascarpone cheese
  • 9 oz white baking chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Assembly

  • 2 packages (3 oz each) ladyfingers, split
  • â…” cup orange juice
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Chocolate syrup (optional, for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Whipped Cream: In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside gently to maintain the fluffiness.
  2. Make the Creamy Mixture: Beat the softened cream cheese and mascarpone together until fluffy. Gradually add the melted and cooled white baking chocolate, ½ cup of the confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Carefully fold in half of the whipped cream, maintaining the airy texture.
  3. Layer the Tiramisu: Brush half of the ladyfingers with half of the orange juice and arrange them evenly in a 13×9-inch dish. Spread half of the creamy mixture over the ladyfingers, then layer half of the sliced strawberries evenly on top.
  4. Add the Second Layer: Brush the remaining ladyfingers with the rest of the orange juice and layer them over the strawberries. Mix the remaining ½ cup confectioners’ sugar into the remaining cream mixture and gently fold in the rest of the whipped cream. Spread this mixture evenly over the second layer of ladyfingers.
  5. Top & Chill: Arrange the remaining sliced strawberries on top of the final cream layer. Cover the dish tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set properly.
  6. Serve: Just before serving, optionally drizzle the tiramisu with chocolate syrup to add an extra touch of sweetness and decoration.

Notes

  • Ensure the white chocolate is fully melted and cooled before mixing to avoid curdling the cream mixture.
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and presentation.
  • For a stronger orange flavor, consider adding a splash of orange liqueur to the orange juice.
  • Ladyfingers should be brushed lightly with orange juice to prevent sogginess while still absorbing flavor.
  • This dessert is best served chilled and can be prepared a day in advance.
