- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (slurry)
- pinch of red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine pineapple juice, orange juice, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, and ginger. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer.
- Add the cornstarch slurry and continue stirring until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. Use warm or chilled as a dip, glaze, or drizzle.
