- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Additional:
- 3 cups frozen or canned sliced potatoes (thawed if frozen)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook Beef Mixture: Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet. Add garlic, cook, and drain excess grease.
- Prepare Sauce: Mix soup, sour cream, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of cheese.
- Layer and Bake: Layer potatoes, beef, and sauce in the baking dish. Top with remaining cheese. Bake covered, then uncovered, until bubbly and tender.
- Serve: Rest for 5–10 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

- You can use fresh thinly sliced potatoes, but parboil them for 5–7 minutes first to ensure tenderness.
