  • 4 cups canned navy beans or great northern beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook Bacon: Cook chopped bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove and set aside, leaving 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.
  3. Sauté Onions: Sauté diced onion until soft. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine onions, garlic, ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, beans, and most of the cooked bacon.
  5. Bake: Transfer mixture to a baking dish, top with reserved bacon, and bake for 45–55 minutes.
