Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberries: Cut the tops off the strawberries to create a flat base so they can stand upright. Slice off the pointed end of each strawberry to make a “hat,” and set these tops aside for later use.
- Make the Whipped Cream: In a chilled mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. This ensures the cream holds its shape for decorating.
- Assemble the Santas: Transfer the whipped cream to a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe a small dollop of whipped cream onto the base of each strawberry to act as Santa’s beard.
- Add the Hat and Details: Place the strawberry tops back onto the base, pressing gently to secure them as Santa’s hats. Pipe a small dot of whipped cream on top of each hat to resemble a pom-pom.
- Create the Eyes: Use two mini chocolate chips or black sesame seeds to make the eyes on each Santa. Place them carefully on the whipped cream near the hat for the best effect.
- Serve or Store: Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving to keep fresh and chilled.
