Ingredients
Scale
Spinach Mixture
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Topping
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped fresh spinach, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated into a uniform mixture.
- Form Crisps: Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the spinach-cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing each about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading. Gently flatten each mound slightly using the back of the spoon to create an even surface.
- Top with Cheddar: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of each formed crisp to add a rich, melty layer.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges of the crisps turn golden brown and the cheddar cheese on top is bubbly and melted.
- Cool & Serve: Remove the crisps from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving plate. Serve warm and enjoy as a delightful appetizer or snack.
Notes
- Use fresh spinach for the best texture and flavor.
- Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature for easier mixing.
- Red pepper flakes are optional for a hint of spice.
- These crisps can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven for a crispy finish.
- Adjust seasoning according to taste, especially salt and pepper.
