Shrimp:
- 2 lbs large shrimp, shell-on and deveined
Seasoning:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Additional:
- 1/2 cup beer or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Rinse and Prepare Shrimp: Rinse shrimp and pat dry with paper towels.
- Cook Aromatics: In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add Seasonings: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Cook to bloom flavors.
- Cook Shrimp: Add beer or broth, bring to simmer. Add shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, stir in parsley. Serve with lemon wedges and bread.

- For authentic flavor, keep shrimp shell-on. Serve with French bread to soak up sauce.
