For the Meatballs:
- 2 pounds frozen fully cooked meatballs
For the Sauce:
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Sauté the Onions: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the sliced onion in olive oil until soft and golden, about 5–7 minutes.
- Prepare the Slow Cooker: Add the cooked onions to the bottom of the slow cooker and place the frozen meatballs on top.
- Make the Sauce: Whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and Dijon mustard. Pour over the meatballs.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours until heated through.
- Thicken the Sauce: Mix cornstarch and water, stir into the slow cooker, and cook on high for 15–20 minutes until thickened.
- Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
