Description

Savory Delight: French Dip Sliders are perfect for parties, game day, or a cozy dinner. These bite-sized sandwiches feature thinly sliced roast beef, melted provolone cheese, and optional caramelized onions on slider buns, brushed with a flavorful butter and Worcestershire sauce mixture, baked to golden perfection, and served with a rich au jus for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Sandwiches

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls, sliced in half
  • 1 pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup caramelized onions (optional)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Au Jus

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns in the dish.
  2. Assemble the sliders: Layer each bun bottom with roast beef, caramelized onions if using, and provolone cheese. Place the slider bun tops on each.
  3. Mix and brush butter sauce: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
  4. Bake the sliders: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then uncover and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  5. Prepare the au jus: While the sliders bake, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve: Remove sliders from the oven and serve warm with individual bowls of the au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • These sliders are perfect for parties, game day, or a cozy dinner.
  • Use leftover roast beef for an even more flavorful and convenient version.
  • Caramelized onions are optional but add a sweet, rich flavor.
  • Ensure the au jus is hot when serving for the best dipping experience.
  • Slider buns can be substituted with Hawaiian rolls for a slightly sweeter taste.
