Description

  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring

Additional:

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (or semi-sweet, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, milk, and red food coloring until well combined.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Optional: Fold in white chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Scoop dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  7. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a bakery-style look, press a few extra chocolate chips on top of the cookies right after baking.
