Potato Gnocchi:
- 1 lb potato gnocchi
Cheese Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the baking dish: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the gnocchi: Cook gnocchi in salted boiling water until they float to the surface, about 2–3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the cheese sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually whisk in milk and cream. Stir in seasonings and cheeses until melted and creamy.
- Combine and bake: Fold in gnocchi and lobster, transfer to baking dish. Mix breadcrumbs with butter, sprinkle over the top. Bake until bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For an extra indulgent version, drizzle with truffle oil before serving.
- You can also substitute crab meat or shrimp for the lobster.
