Description

Lasagna Stuffed Garlic Bread is the ultimate comfort food mashup. A delicious combination of lasagna flavors stuffed inside a crusty loaf of bread, this dish is perfect for a cozy night in or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer.


Ingredients

Bread:

1 large loaf of Italian or French bread

Filling:

½ pound ground beef, ½ pound Italian sausage (casings removed), 1 cup marinara sauce, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste

Cheese Mixture:

1 cup ricotta cheese, 1 egg, 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garlic Butter:

¼ cup unsalted butter (melted), 2 cloves garlic (minced)

Garnish:

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the bread: Slice the bread in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the inside.
  3. Cook the meat: In a skillet, cook the ground beef and sausage. Add marinara sauce, seasonings, and simmer.
  4. Prepare the cheese mixture: Combine ricotta cheese, egg, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Assemble the stuffed bread: Layer ricotta mixture, meat sauce, cheeses in the hollowed-out bread.
  6. Brush with garlic butter: Mix melted butter with garlic, brush over the bread.
  7. Bake: Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Garnish with parsley, slice, and serve warm.
