  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Korean BBQ Sauce:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Make the Meatballs: Combine all meatball ingredients in a bowl, form into meatballs, and bake for 15–18 minutes.
  3. Prepare the BBQ Sauce: Simmer together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and gochujang. Thicken with cornstarch slurry.
  4. Coat the Meatballs: Toss baked meatballs in the sauce until coated.
  5. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
