Buffalo Chicken Dip Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded cooked rotisserie chicken
- 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Sauce
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded Colby Jack cheese, divided
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, Frank’s RedHot Original Sauce, sour cream, and garlic powder until well blended and smooth, ensuring the cream cheese is fully incorporated.
- Stir in Chicken and Cheese: Add the shredded rotisserie chicken and ½ cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese into the sauce mixture, stirring thoroughly to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Layer Mixture in Dish: Spoon the prepared mixture into an Instant Pot-safe baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Then, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese evenly over the top layer.
- Prepare Instant Pot: Place the trivet inside the Instant Pot and pour in the 1/4 cup of water to create steam for pressure cooking.
- Cook Under Pressure: Set the baking dish with the dip on top of the trivet inside the Instant Pot. Seal the lid and cook on manual high pressure for 7 minutes to melt the cheese and heat the dip thoroughly.
- Natural Pressure Release: Allow the pressure to release naturally to ensure the dip finishes cooking perfectly and remains creamy.
- Serve Warm: Carefully remove the baking dish from the Instant Pot using oven mitts. Serve the hot Buffalo Chicken Dip immediately with dippers such as tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for a delicious appetizer experience.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing and a smoother dip texture.
- If you prefer a milder dip, reduce the amount of hot sauce or use a milder variety.
- The dip can be kept warm in the Instant Pot on the ‘Keep Warm’ setting if serving over a longer period.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheated in a microwave or in the Instant Pot using the ‘Sauté’ function.
- For added crunch, garnish with sliced green onions or celery sticks as dippers.
