These Honey Glazed Carrots are a simple and delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with any meal. The sweet and savory glaze coats tender carrots, making them a standout addition to your dinner table.
Ingredients
Scale
Carrots:
- 1 ½ pounds carrots, peeled and sliced into ½-inch thick rounds or sticks
Honey Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Carrots: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the sliced carrots and cook for 5–6 minutes, until just tender but still slightly crisp. Drain and set aside.
- Make Glaze: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the honey, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Glaze Carrots: Add the cooked carrots to the skillet and toss to coat in the honey glaze. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the carrots are glossy and heated through.
- Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can use baby carrots instead of slicing whole ones—just adjust the cooking time slightly.
- For a richer flavor, add a dash of cinnamon or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to brighten the dish.
