Ingredients
Scale
Cheese
- 1 wheel of Brie cheese (8 oz)
Garlic Butter Topping
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or ½ tsp dried thyme)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish & Serving
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp honey (optional, for drizzling)
- Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the Brie cheese.
- Prepare the Brie: Place the Brie wheel on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a small baking dish to catch any melted cheese as it bakes.
- Make garlic butter: In a small skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and thyme leaves, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned, then remove from heat to avoid burning.
- Bake the Brie: Pour the warm garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of the Brie. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese has softened and is just beginning to melt while still holding its shape.
- Garnish and serve: Remove the Brie from the oven and immediately drizzle with honey if desired. Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the top. Serve the baked Brie warm with crackers or sliced baguette for dipping.
Notes
- Use a parchment-lined baking sheet or small baking dish to contain any melted cheese and ease cleanup.
- Adjust garlic amount based on your preference for a milder or stronger garlic flavor.
- Honey is optional but adds a pleasant sweet contrast to the savory garlic butter.
- Serve immediately while the Brie is warm and gooey for the best experience.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and gently reheated in the oven.
