  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the Praline Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, heavy cream, butter, and salt over medium heat. Stir until sugars dissolve and mixture reaches 235°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Add Pecans and Vanilla: Remove from heat, stir in pecans and vanilla extract. Stir briskly until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Form the Pralines: Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Allow to cool completely until set before serving.
