Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Cook the beef mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning, water, and tomato sauce. Simmer until thickened.
- Assemble the casserole: Press crescent dough or spread crushed tortilla chips in a baking dish. Spoon beef mixture over the crust or chips. Spread sour cream, then sprinkle with cheeses.
- Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let rest before slicing.
