  • 1 small onion, diced

  • Lasagna Layers:

  • 9 uncooked lasagna noodles, broken to fit
  • 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Meat Sauce: In a skillet, cook ground beef or sausage with onion until browned. Add garlic, drain excess grease, then stir in marinara sauce, salt, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Prepare Ricotta Mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with egg until smooth.
  3. Layer Lasagna: Grease slow cooker, spread meat sauce on the bottom, then layer with noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with sauce and Parmesan.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours until noodles are tender. Let rest before serving, garnish with parsley or basil.
