- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara or pasta sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 9 uncooked lasagna noodles, broken to fit
- 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or basil (optional)

Instructions
- Prepare Meat Sauce: In a skillet, cook ground beef or sausage with onion until browned. Add garlic, drain excess grease, then stir in marinara sauce, salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Prepare Ricotta Mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with egg until smooth.
- Layer Lasagna: Grease slow cooker, spread meat sauce on the bottom, then layer with noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with sauce and Parmesan.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours until noodles are tender. Let rest before serving, garnish with parsley or basil.

- Substitute cottage cheese for ricotta or add spinach for extra veggies.
