Main Ingredients:

  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water (reserved from cooking noodles)

Garnish:

  • sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Cook ramen noodles slightly under by 1 minute. Reserve ¼ cup of noodle water, then drain.
  2. Prepare Sauce: Heat sesame oil in a skillet, sauté garlic, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and brown sugar. Pour in reserved noodle water and simmer.
  3. Combine: Add noodles to skillet, toss to coat in sauce. Cook until noodles are done and sauce thickens.
  4. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Add stir-fried veggies, tofu, or cooked eggs for added protein and nutrients.
  • Adjust spice level by increasing or omitting the sriracha.
