Description

These Easy and Cheesy Snacks are delightful crispy cheese rounds baked to golden perfection. Combining cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses with a blend of spices, they offer a quick, low-carb, gluten-free treat perfect for snacking solo or paired with chips and pretzels.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Optional

  • 1 cup mini pretzels or tortilla chips (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan cheeses, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and oregano. Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute spices and cheeses.
  3. Form Cheese Rounds: Drop heaping tablespoons of the cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing each mound a couple of inches apart to allow spreading. Slightly flatten each mound with the back of a spoon to encourage even baking.
  4. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 7–9 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges turn golden brown and crispy.
  5. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the cheese crisps cool on the pan for a few minutes to firm up. Serve warm as a standalone crispy snack or with mini pretzels or tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

  • For a more uniform shape, bake the cheese mixture in mini muffin tins instead of drop spoons.
  • Add cooked crumbled bacon or finely chopped jalapeños to the cheese mixture for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
