Description

Indulge in the festive spirit of Easter with this colorful and flavorful Easter Poke Cake. A delightful white cake infused with vibrant vanilla pudding colors, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, perfect for your holiday dessert table.

Ingredients

Scale

Cake:

  • 1 box white cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box such as eggs, oil, and water)

Pudding Filling:

  • 1 (3 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • Pink, yellow, and blue food coloring

Topping:

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (thawed)
  • Pastel sprinkles or Easter candy for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cake: Prepare the white cake mix according to the package directions and bake in a 9×13-inch pan. Let the cake cool for about 15 minutes, then use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly across the top of the cake.
  2. Pudding Filling: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until it begins to thicken. Divide the pudding into three small bowls and tint each with a different food coloring (pink, yellow, and blue). Spoon the colored pudding into the holes of the cake, alternating colors for a festive look. Once all the pudding is used, gently spread any excess over the top of the cake.
  3. Chill: Cover and refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to set.
  4. Topping: Before serving, spread whipped topping evenly over the cake and decorate with pastel sprinkles or your favorite Easter candy.

Notes

  • You can substitute the vanilla pudding with white chocolate or cheesecake flavor for a twist.
  • For a homemade touch, make your own whipped cream instead of using store-bought topping.
