For the Brownies:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp white vinegar
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix the brownie batter: Combine melted butter and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix in cocoa, flour, and salt. Stir in vinegar. Pour into pan.
- Bake: Bake for 25–28 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before frosting.
- Make the frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Spread over brownies.
- Chill and serve: Chill brownies for 20 minutes before slicing.
