For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the brownie batter: Combine melted butter and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix in cocoa, flour, and salt. Stir in vinegar. Pour into pan.
  3. Bake: Bake for 25–28 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before frosting.
  4. Make the frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Spread over brownies.
  5. Chill and serve: Chill brownies for 20 minutes before slicing.
