- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate (chopped)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- butter or cooking spray for greasing
- powdered sugar and berries for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Melt butter and chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate together in 30-second intervals until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Whisk eggs and sugar: In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and salt until thick and pale.
- Combine mixtures: Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture while whisking constantly. Fold in flour until just combined.
- Prepare ramekins: Grease ramekins with butter or spray. Divide batter among ramekins.
- Cook in air fryer: Place ramekins in air fryer basket and cook at 375°F for 8–10 minutes.
- Serve: Let cool, then invert onto plates. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with berries or ice cream.
Notes
- Do not overcook or the center won’t be molten.
- You can prep the batter ahead and refrigerate until ready to air fry (bring to room temp before baking).
