Description

Crockpot Angel Chicken is a delicious and creamy chicken pasta dish cooked slowly in a crockpot, resulting in tender, flavorful chicken in a rich sauce served over angel hair pasta.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (or more broth if preferred)
  • 1 packet (0.7 oz) Italian dressing mix (dry seasoning)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For Serving:

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta, cooked and drained
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat, then stir in cream cheese until smooth. Add cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, wine, and Italian dressing mix. Stir until well combined and creamy.
  3. Cook in Slow Cooker: Pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  4. Prepare Pasta: About 20 minutes before serving, cook angel hair pasta according to package instructions and drain.
  5. Serve: Shred or slice the chicken and serve over angel hair pasta, spooning sauce on top. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom for a different flavor.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of broth or pasta water to loosen it.
  • This dish reheats beautifully the next day.
