Dough:
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Filling:
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- olive oil spray
- marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Divide pizza dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a 6–7 inch circle.
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Spoon filling onto half of each dough circle, leaving a border around the edge.
- Fold dough over to form a half-moon and press edges together. Seal by crimping with a fork.
- Brush tops with beaten egg and lightly spray with olive oil.
- Place calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.
Notes
- For added texture, sprinkle the tops with extra Parmesan before air frying.
- You can also swap chicken for cooked sausage or veggies for variety.
