Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Combine mix-ins: Fold in the chocolate chips, chopped pecans, and shredded coconut.
  6. Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are just set.
