- 4 black tea bags
- 4 cups boiling water
- 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups cold water
For the Berry Purée:
- 1 cup frozen cherries
- 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For Serving:
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint and extra berries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Tea: Place the tea bags in a large heatproof pitcher and pour in the boiling water. Let steep for 5–7 minutes, then remove the tea bags and discard. Stir in honey or sugar until dissolved.
- Make the Berry Purée: Blend frozen cherries, mixed berries, and lemon juice until smooth. Strain the purée through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds if desired.
- Combine and Chill: Stir the berry purée into the brewed tea. Add cold water and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with fresh mint and extra berries if desired.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace 1 cup of cold water with club soda just before serving.
